Survival of the Fittest

Event Director | 2009-2011

In 2009, I took on a new project and created an international ski and snowboard freestyle competition with a original format. In only three years, the Survival of the Fittest became one of the most anticipated event of the freestyle scene and attracted some of the world’s top athletes to compete.

My passion for freeskiing led me and my good friend Nicolas Vuignier to organize a new type of event in our home resort of Crans-Montana, Switzerland. With close-to-zero budget on the first edition, we managed to pull off an amazing show and attracted sponsors and supporters for the following years.

While the success of the event was growing, we decided to pull the plug on this project after three editions only. This was a hard decision to take as we had built momentum and were exponentially improving the quality and notoriety of the event. However, I look back at this experience with nothing but satisfaction and great learnings when it come to organizational and entrepreneurial skills.
